About 2Far Media

2Far Media is a creative production company working across Film, TV, Theatre and Social media. We produce innovative high quality ideas and develop them into serious drama, popular entertainment and engaging digital content. We have a particular focus on working with black and minority ethnic talent and audiences, telling stories that are relevant to and inclusive of them. We also have a mission to enable, through participative training, a whole new generation of filmmakers.

Creative Director, Bola Agbaje is an Olivier award-winning writer whose work is widely performed on stage and screen. Executive Producer, Clive Holdsworth, comes from a creative production and project management, publishing and skills training background with specialist experience in digital media.

Our social movies projects combine industry-level production values with those of grassroots methods working with under-represented groups, especially young people to tell relevant stories using instant and accessible technologies and social media channels. In an industry that presents formidable barriers to entry, we are passionate about discovering, training and nurturing new filmmakers of the future..

Many young people do not always have the money or resources to afford training in full time film school but attending 2Far Media’s short Social Movies Film School will give them confidence, together with the basic skills they need. We not only provide training by example but we also send them off well prepared to join other organisations to continue their career journey in the industry.

“Spielberg learned how to make movies by using Super 8. The new generation's Super 8 is a smartphone and this generation’s young Spielberg is somewhere with a phone in their hand waiting to be inspired.” – Bola Agbaje
